Treating Myasthenia Gravis With Orthomolecular Medicine

Treating and healing Myasthenia Gravis with ordinary amino acids is the basis for Orthomolecular Medicine. Large doses of naturally found proteins called amino acids can repair the imbalance in the brain and repair its malfunction. These amino acids are affordable and are used in therapeutic doses much larger than those levels normally found in food. The concept of orthomolecular medicine is based upon the use of very large doses of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, or botanical extracts for the cellular repair and enhancement of normal brain activities.

Orthomolecular Medicine utilizes 5-HTP, L-phenylalanine, L-tyrosine, and NAC to treat myasthenia gravis. This neurodegenerative disease affects the eyes and is an auto-immune disease. Botanical extracts and supplements are also welcome additions in treating the disease.

Quantum Orthomolecular Medicine may recommend other types of energy medicine to speed the recovery of the patient. Many illnesses are triggered by emotional traumas and stress. Therapies which can reduce major stress or treat the emotional component of illness are very important in healing. Yoga and Qi Gong can help reduce stress issues. They should be done at least four times a week for great results. Another therapy used id Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). It is very good for relieving stress or trauma. It involves taking your finger and tapping on several acupuncture points while stating an affirmation aloud. This may take several sessions to work.

Dietary changes must be quickly implemented. Your diet should include organic or local fruits and vegetables, reduce meats, increase cold water fish like salmon, increase unsaturated fats, eliminate saturated fats, and elimination of refined foods. Try to switch to decaffeinated coffee and eliminate alcohol and nicotine. It is good to have organic meat or free range chickens and organic eggs. Try to avoid all types of genetically modified foods. Implement a three-month period of eating foods that are gluten-free and monitor the results for improvement of energy levels and symptom relief or improvement.

People with myasthenia gravis in their family history may want to take one botanical as a preventative beginning in their late thirties. This may delay or prevent the onset of the disease or lessen the severity of the disease. Schisandra, skullcap, astragulus, ashwaganda, and cordyceps are some of the botanicals that can be used for this disease in Quantum Orthomolecular Medicine. There is a technique that is used in Quantum Orthomolecular Medicine to determine which botanical is needed for the patient and is also used to determine when the botanical is switched to another. Many times the body becomes resistant to a supplement and this must be actively managed. Auto-immune diseases require extra attention in this area.

Alternative Breast Cancer Treatment – Ayurvedic Medicine For Breast Cancer

Cancer is a disease characterized by uncontrolled growth of cells. Breast cancer forms in the tissues of the breast. It is normally formed in the ducts. It can be detected using a mammogram or a through a self-exam. It is advised that these tests should be done regularly so that early detection can be made. With early detection, advances in treatment and therapy, survival rates are highly increased. Symptoms include a lump in the breast, discharge from the nipple, or a noticeable change in the size or shape of a breast. Some of the factors that contribute to this type are genes, age or even family history of the disease.

There are many alternative approaches for dealing with this type of cancer. For example; homeopathy, use of supplements, acupuncture, massage or use of herbs. Ayurveda is also one of these alternatives. This type of treatment originates from India, but is also used and accepted around the world as a complementary and alternative form of medicine. It is used to bring about a faster response and reduce the side effects of conventional drugs. It also helps prevent recurrence of diseases and also prolong survival rates. These medicines are also used to prevent diseases, to protect and to cure chronic diseases in the body. In addition, they are used to correct immunity disorders in the body.

In most cases, people usually go through the conventional methods of getting a prognosis before treatment can be diagnosed. However, in cases where traditional Ayurveda is still practiced, the patient is asked questions. To answer these questions, all the five senses must be used. A prognosis is then made and the necessary formulations given for treatment. Nowadays, most patients prefer to undergo conventional methods of diagnosis. They then combine the conventional drugs together with the alternative Ayurveda medicine.

While taking Ayurveda medicine for the treatment of breast or any other cancer, you need to continually visit your oncologist for checkups. Formulations for ayurveda treatments are made using seven metals and herbs. The herbs used include; gold, silver, zinc, tin, lead, copper, and iron. However, cases of lead poisoning have been reported over time. This often occurs when some of the formulations have been prepared with excess lead quantities, above the regulated standards. Other reported cases have been deaths due to delayed use of conventional drugs due to belief in the alternative medicine. In addition, it is important to seek advice from a practitioner before you self medicate.

Healing and Recovery: Yin-Yang of Medicine

It was a recent honor to be main speaker at the grand opening of Anna Sienicka’s clinic. Anna’s practice ‘Homeopathic Care Clinic’ is Toronto’s only alternative practice located in an otherwise all-conventional medical facility, where alternative and conventional are collaborating, not competing!

No doubt such collaboration is soon to be a social norm. But did you know? Both osteopathy and chiropractics originated from a form of energy healing? Seventy-five years ago, chiropractic was an alternative medicine. In fact it wasn’t until 1987 that Chiropractics became recognized as a conventional medicine after courts had ruled the American Medical Association had been engaged in unreasonable restraint of trade and conspiracy (against chiropractors). Now comes the day for long established practices like Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Chinese Medicine, is dawning.

Regardless of whether a practice is alternative or mainstream, the single most important factor in health care is the personal responsibility you take for your own body and emotions. Society is beginning to recognize how the primary role of responsibility for a patient’s health rests in the hands of that patient. The days of doctors being seen as ultimate authorities over your health and wellbeing began fading when patients began seeking a ‘second opinion’.

While the rightful place of doctors continues to clarify in the outside world, the next big challenge for people is internal, summed up as ‘how to face a health crisis squarely’. Relaxing into an illness or condition maximizes the natural healing capacity you were born with. But often, instead of relaxing most people tense up. and get all stressed out.

Getting all stressed out is what most learned to do in a crisis. Medical science is now able to measure how your stress inhibits the immune system even to the point of causing a self-induced immunesuppressant state. The habit of tensing-up was taught as a learned fear and has been handed down from generation to generation for centuries. So today it gets triggered subconsciously without thinking about it.

The root of this fear of crisis goes all the way back to when rituals were developed long ago to appease what people believed was an angry god/force of nature. Over the millennia the rituals were woven into our traditions and beliefs, and in modern times, institutions.

Rituals like the mortification of flesh, the self-inflicted pain suffered as an expiatory act of penance for atonement of sins, are clearly re-enacted in today’s unsustainable corporate approach to the beautiful planet and our natural resources.

The alternative to these institutionalized fears begins as individuals become increasingly aware of how to take care of their body and emotions. It is at this level of caring for one’s self, that the word ‘alternative’ offers its greatest blessing.

Fear (of unknowns) is no substitute for the courage needed to really face a crisis. Fear is no substitute for surrendering the arrogance that falsely claims to ‘know’ what needs to be done, even before it understands what the problem is.

Hope and positive thinking are useful tools but the magic in those tools is at its best when in the hands of acceptance. Genuine acceptance is a powerful assertiveness that opens a swell of stillness within and maximizes the opportunities for life to perform its miracles.
